Details regarding taxation on mobile internet and mobile card have been revealed.
Federal Board of Revenue has issued the Income Tax General Order regarding the banning of SIMs of non-filers, according to which 75% tax will be levied on mobile internet and mobile card of the persons included in the Income Tax General Order.
In addition, implementation of additional taxes on the salaried class has been started from the beginning of the new financial year 2024-25. Under the Finance Bill, income tax exemption will be given on income of Rs 50 thousand per month or Rs 6 lakh per year. Income tax on monthly salary up to Rs 1 lakh has been increased to 5%.
This tax will be collected on annual income of 6 lakh to 12 lakh, this class will have to pay tax of Rs 2500 instead of Rs 1250 per month, on annual income of Rs 12 lakh to 22 lakh, the tax rate will be 15%.
This category also has to pay a fixed tax of 30 thousand rupees, those who earn 1 lakh 83 thousand 344 rupees per month have to pay 15% tax, the monthly income tax of these people has been increased from 11667 to 15 thousand rupees.
